Foundations First: Supporting Young Children with Developmental and Behavioral Needs in Parenting Plans

Presenter: Claire Winchester, PhD, BCBA-D, LBA

This lunchtime webinar will introduce foundational principles of early childhood development and behavior with a focus on how these intersect with parenting plan decisions. Claire Winchester, PhD, BCBA-D, will highlight common developmental diagnoses—such as autism spectrum disorder, language delays, and self-regulation challenges—and share practical, developmentally appropriate strategies for supporting young children in separated or divorced family systems. Designed for professionals working in legal, clinical, and child-focused roles, the session will offer guiding questions and key considerations for building parenting plans that promote consistency, communication, and emotional security for children with developmental needs.
