Resistant Kids in Family Therapy
Marlene Bizub, Psy.D.
It’s not uncommon for children to be estranged from one of their parents during the separation and divorce process or following the finalization of the divorce. This is often based on years of dynamics between various family members, as well as more recent happenings related to the divorce process. Addressing these issues in therapy is not a quick and easy fix. Dr. Marlene will discuss what some of the roadblocks are to making progress in family therapy, and how to best advise our clients when it comes to them engaging in therapy of this nature. The importance of including all family members will be emphasized, as well as the necessity of the professionals involved working together and creating a team approach to treatment of this most difficult issue. This issue affects all of us who work in family law, so you won’t want to miss this important and informative webinar.
