A Judge, an Attorney, and a Therapist Walk into a Bar: How to Get the Best Information to the Court

Please join us for an in–depth look at how family law professionals can present the best information to the Court, especially in high–conflict situations. With so much information to assess and summarize, our presenters will help evaluators, attorneys, and judges determine what needs to be addressed in accordance with federal and state guidelines and statutes, as well as how to present that information effectively. We will discuss the essentials for every report to organize and convey the most relevant information succinctly and in an organized manner. We will cover what to exclude, what to include, and in which situations, as well as the order in which to do so. We will also examine how to incorporate best–practice analyses into parenting plans and hear from judges, mental health professionals, attorneys, mediators, and legal representatives about what they believe are helpful, not helpful, and/or distracting and irrelevant. We will have the opportunity for live discussions and interactions among professionals. Please join us and bring your questions and expertise to the discussion, helping us produce the most helpful information for the Court regarding these families.
